Finally, the names for new chemical elements in English should allow proper translation into other major languages.įor the element with atomic number 113 the discoverers at RIKEN Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science (Japan) proposed the name nihonium and the symbol Nh. This would be in general “-ium” for elements belonging to groups 1-16, “-ine” for elements of group 17 and “-on” for elements of group 18. The names of all new elements in general would have an ending that reflects and maintains historical and chemical consistency. (a) a mythological concept or character (including an astronomical object), Keeping with tradition, newly discovered elements can be named after: The guidelines for the naming the elements were recently revised and shared with the discoverers to assist in their proposals. A five-month public review is now set, expiring 8 November 2016, prior to the formal approval by the IUPAC Council. The IUPAC Inorganic Chemistry Division has reviewed and considered these proposals and recommends these for acceptance. Therefore, there are various non-equivalent definitions of atomic radius. However, this assumes the atom to exhibit a spherical shape, which is only obeyed for atoms in vacuum or free space. The atomic radius of a chemical element is a measure of the distance out to which the electron cloud extends from the nucleus. It must be noted, atoms lack a well-defined outer boundary. The atomic radius of Oganesson atom is –pm (covalent radius). Note that, each element may contain more isotopes, therefore this resulting atomic mass is calculated from naturally-occuring isotopes and their abundance. The atomic mass is carried by the atomic nucleus, which occupies only about 10 -12 of the total volume of the atom or less, but it contains all the positive charge and at least 99.95% of the total mass of the atom. The atomic mass or relative isotopic mass refers to the mass of a single particle, and therefore is tied to a certain specific isotope of an element. Mass numbers of typical isotopes of Oganesson are 294,295. Isotopes are nuclides that have the same atomic number and are therefore the same element, but differ in the number of neutrons. The difference between the neutron number and the atomic number is known as the neutron excess: D = N – Z = A – 2Z.įor stable elements, there is usually a variety of stable isotopes. Neutron number plus atomic number equals atomic mass number: N+Z=A. The total number of neutrons in the nucleus of an atom is called the neutron number of the atom and is given the symbol N. The total electrical charge of the nucleus is therefore +Ze, where e (elementary charge) equals to 1,602 x 10 -19 coulombs. Total number of protons in the nucleus is called the atomic number of the atom and is given the symbol Z. Oganesson is a chemical element with atomic number 118 which means there are 118 protons in its nucleus. Many WMR users (me included) experience bad head tracking with the view skipping and/or lagging. After this, the game should allow you to press the button of your wheel/controller and set it up for use in-game. TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM: When you get to the warning screen you need to left-mouse-click on the DR "mirror window" on your desktop. However, after this the game would not detect my wheel. The first time I encountered this screen I hit the button on my wheel (T150) but nothing happened, so I hit. To make it go away and finish loading the game, you need to hit the button on your wheel/controller or hit. When you start the game it will pause on a screen warning about different levels of intensity, etc. Step 2: Getting the game to recognize my racing wheel: This worked for me and once everything is set up you only need to launch DR directly from Steam-no need to start SteamVR first. If you want to change Super Sampling values for Revive, you will need to use OpenVRAdvanced Settings where there's a Revive specific tab for all settings relating to Revive.Start Steam VR then launch Dirt Rally as normal from the Steam Library - Ignore the warning about VR and just press "yes".Delete Oculus software if you wish as it is no longer needed for Dirt Rally (I have not tried this method with other games yet).(this step probably isn't needed but it won't hurt and takes seconds.) Repeat steps 7 & 8 but this time choose "inject" from Revive dashboard.dll files(Your Drive\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally) then run patch. Select "patch" then locate the Dirt.exe in same folder as you dropped the.Start Steam VR and right-click on the Revive icon in your Taskbar.Copy "LibOVRRT32_1.dll" and "LibOVRRT64_1.dll" to your Dirt Rally Steam folder (Your Drive\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally).Locate files "LibOVRRT32_1.dll" and "LibOVRRT64_1.dll" in C:\OculusSetup-DownloadCache (C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime if you already had Oculus downloaded) Your drive letter may be different to mine - it'll be where you download stuff to.If you do not already have Oculus Software see my links at the bottom.Begin download of Oculus Software and cancel at 10.If you already have Oculus installed skip to step 5. Here's a link to the original guide I used: Step 1: Getting the game to start in SteamVR: Most of these resources are for Vive/revive rather than WMR, but they worked just the same. I could not find a comprehensive guide to setting up DR anywhere, so I thought I would make a post collecting all the different resources I used to make the game work for me! Both games work and look great for me in WMR, but DiRT Rally definitely took a lot more effort to get going. I mainly bought it for sims type games like Elite Dangerous and DiRT Rally. So, I'm pretty new to VR/WMR having picked up my Lenovo Explorer in an after Xmas sale. Many are taken out of the running by the ASVAB, medical, and security, and finally the DLAB which doesn't have a high pass rate. They train up at home station and deploy to do their mission.Įven as Airborne? I always thought Airborne moved around alot due to TDYs and what not? That's one of the reasons I was looking into Airborne Linguist since they travel alot. There are also some slots in Arizona, New Mexico, and Florida for anyone, and also in Japan and England each for specific languages. Many 1A8X1s go to Nebraska and just stay there for many years. Overall linguists don't tend to move much. What is CLEP? What are the upper and lower divisions? What are the AU-ABC program? Sorry, I know NOTHING about how college works and I'm slowly understanding what each abbreviation in the Air Force is. Via the AU-ABC program you can find a school which will accept your CCAF as the full first two years. The upper division through an online school taking one or two classes at a time is doable. There are a few different ways to do it, but you can knock out most or all of the 'lower division' stuff via CLEP, language credits, and CCAF depending on how upgrade training. Would it be better to do a 6 year contract or do two 4 year contracts where the first 4 years is training and the second 4 years is actual job stuff? So if there is a shortage of open slots for a flight, the priority may not be the person getting out in a year. The tech school is often 2 years long, with a long training regimen at your first base before you even get certified to do your job (this is not part of tech school). The only things I can find state that the minimum qualifying score is like 95 and 110 can qualify you for everything but I thought for Air Force it was 110 for minimum?Ĩ) What languages are in demand right now? I would prefer either Japanese or Spanish or even German but I've heard Russian and Korean super in demand so idk.įor 1A8s the biggest thing is that you might not be able to actually do your job in 4 years. I'm afraid that if I list Linguist but also Security Forces, my recruiter would just ignore the Linguist and just give me Security Forces.ħ) Speaking of the DLAB, I've been trying to do some research to figure out what scores will qualify me for what and I can't find anything. 1) Is it better to sign a 6 year contract so it looks better for getting possibly commissioned for Officer or should I just stick to 4 years?Ģ) I know tech school is pretty long but once that's over and you can start doing your actual job, how easy is it to work on school work toward your undergrad?ģ) From what I can tell, by completing this tech school, I can get either credit or a full on AA in Intelligence Studies and Technology, right? How easy would that be to transition that to a BS in Criminal Justice?Ĥ) I'm assuming Airborne is going to travel alot more than Ground, however is there alot of permanent base changes in this job? I know there's alot of Temporary Deployments.ĥ) Is there anything I can do to prepare for the DLAB? I don't think I would do that bad on it however with the base requirements being 110, it kinda scares me.Ħ) Also, when do you take it? Can you request to take it? I would assume that if you express interest in a linguist job, the recruiter would set you up to take it. At 3,800 feet (a little over 1,000 feet of elevation gain), the Waumbek tank is a good stopping point for newer backcountry skiers or those just looking to run low-angle laps. In fact, on most occasions that I have skied there, the best turns have come down low. While the Cog provides a path to the mountain’s summit, there are plenty of good turns to be had on it at lower elevations. However, in spite of its tame reputation, it’s still smart to carry a beacon, shovel, and probe, even though you probably won’t need to use them. Unlike the more notable and steep Tuckerman Ravine, the Cog’s lower slope angle, less snow, and less wind traditionally make the snowpack more reliable and less likely to avalanche than other Mount Washington backcountry ski lines. Skiing the Cog further simplifies the logistics by reducing the likelihood of an avalanche. The simplicity is incredibly beneficial when considering Mount Washington’s fierce winter weather, with the railway serving as a handrail to the summit and back. Unlike many New Hampshire backcountry ski runs, skiing the Cog has no mysteries to unlock simply follow the rail line from its parking lot near Bretton Woods to the mountain’s summit and back down. Not only does the Cog offer an easier path to the summit, it also minimizes challenging route finding. Because it is graded to be suitable for a train, it is never excessively steep, making for quick ascents and even faster descents-especially when skiing! Even better, spring is the perfect time to make the trip, as winter’s cold and windy conditions begin to subside, and the days start to get longer. Ascending roughly 3,500 feet in three miles, the Cog is the shortest route to the top and involves the least amount of elevation gain. While in the summer the railway presents an easy path to the summit for those not wanting or not able to exert the effort in getting there under their own power, in the winter, the Cog offers the most accessible way to Mount Washington’s summit for skiers and snowboarders. Skiing the Cog Railway might be one of the activities that leaves me the most conflicted about Mount Washington’s infrastructure. As outdoor enthusiasts, we can almost universally agree on one thing: We should be minimizing our impact on the environment.īut, if we can’t agree on that, then maybe we can agree to not ruin a favorite ski run. The most obvious reason we don’t need another building up there? Just look at the remnants of structures built in the past, both on Mount Washington and on the Whites’ other mountains-the impact will last generations. No matter how you feel about the existing infrastructure throughout the Whites, it’s hard to argue that there should be more of it. Between a multitude of buildings, an auto road, and a railway, Mount Washington has seen more than its fair share of development, both good and bad. It’s not hard to find the scars of actions made decades or even centuries ago, as everything from hotels, lodges, and huts to roads and railways dots the landscape. Mount Washington has seen more human impact than most peaks. In December, the Mount Washington Railway Company (MWRC) proposed building a new hotel and restaurant along the rail line just a mile below the mountain’s summit. But, recently, plans have come to light that could significantly change that three-mile run in the not-so-distant future. Built in 1868, the Mount Washington Cog Railway has been a staple of the peak’s plentiful ski runs since skis first came to the Northeast’s highest point. Ortiz was losing to Martin on all three cards at the time of the stoppage. He stopped Alexander Flores in one round in November 2020 and Charles Martin in six this past January. Here is everything you need to know about Andy Ruiz Jr. Veteran Ortiz is a seasoned performance and last fought on New Years Day when he stopped Charles Martin. He has stopped his two opponents since then-titleholder Deontay Wilder took him out in seven rounds in their 2019 rematch. Ruiz returned against Chris Arreola for a victory in May 2019, and has slimmed down noticeably in recent months. The 43-year-old Cuban doesn’t have the legs he once did but he retains his power and ring acumen, which makes him a threat to Ruiz and most other heavyweights. That means he will have been out of the ring for 16 months when he faces Ortiz. HIT by Andy Ruiz in the 11th RuizOrtiz pic. The 32-year-old Southern Californian then outpointed Chris Arreola in a comeback fight in May of last year, which was his most-recent bout. won the fight against Luis Ortiz via unanimous decision (113-112, 114-111, and 114-111). An out-of-shape version of Ruiz lost to Joshua in the rematch six months later. Ruiz appears to be taking his training seriously as he tries to recapture the magic he produced in his first fight against Anthony Joshua in 2019, a seventh-round knockout that gave him three heavyweight titles. Background: Ruiz and Ortiz might be a victory or two away from another world title shot, which makes this an important heavyweight fight. If we have a small dog and a medium-sized dog, here’s what we have: In general, most dogs require 25 to 30 calories per pound each day in order to maintain their weight. Any treat or snack you offer to your precious pooch should not go over 10% of his or her daily calories. Keep in mind the 10% rule when it comes to doggy treats and snacks. Dogs aren’t receiving many nutrients other than increasing their calorie and carb intake for the day which can lead to weight gain and obesity over the long run. The high carbs and calorie count in Cheerios make this an empty-calorie snack or treat for dogs. As we can see, in just 1 cup or 26 grams of Cheerios, there are 19.3 grams of carbohydrates and 93.3 calories. While Cheerios is not toxic to dogs, it’s not the healthiest treat or snack either. High calorie and carbs in Cheerios is considered empty calorie snack for dogs Let’s see how Cheerios can be bad for dogs. With that said, can Cheerios be bad for dogs? Let’s discuss this next. Also, our canine friends can receive many of the same nutrients in Cheerios in healthier and dog-friendly snacks and treats. However, the Vitamin E, iron, Vitamin D, calcium, and potassium in Cheerios are very minimal to be beneficial to our four-legged friends. Vitamin E, in general, is a fat-soluble vitamin. Many believe that natural preservatives like vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) are much safer than using artificial preservatives. It is a natural preservative that you’ll find in many dog foods as well. The vitamin E in Cheerios comes from mixed tocopherols which helps the Cheerios stay fresh longer. Welcome to our pack! Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) in Cheerios added to preserve freshness It’s important that owners properly prepare the whole grain oats before feeding them to their furry family members. Omega-6 helps provide dogs with healthy, moisturized, and strong skin. Oats are packed full of linoleic acid, which is a type of omega-6 fatty acid. If your pooch has a wheat allergy or has gluten sensitivity, then oats are a great carbohydrate alternative. In moderation, whole grain oats can be a healthy addition to your canine friend’s diet. Whole grain oats in Cheerios is safe for doggy consumption If you’re wondering, “is Cheerios good for dogs?” or “are Cheerios safe for dogs?” you’ll be glad to know that there are some ingredients in Cheerios that are good and safe for doggy consumption. Are Cheerios good for dogs? Can dogs eat Cheerios as treats? Nutritional Profile of Cheerios (1 Cup or 26 grams) Name, Unitīased on this information, let’s go over how Cheerios can be beneficial to our canine friends next.

That's a lot of steps just to get a core to subtract to save on 3D printing resin, especially for a less than well built model (guilty as charged here). 'Combine' with 'Subtract' selected to remove derived core from master model. I need to figure out which file works best to do that for my application.Ĥb. Yes, I know I need to suppress a derived link to avoid the cyclic error. 'Derive' part created in Step 3 into master model. Thankfully Inventor lets me window-crossing select those!ģb. Clean up the derived model where needed with deleted faces and fillets, etc.ģa. Simply the dickens out of the derived model to get just the exterior walls that need to be 'shelled' to the inside.Ģc. Create model as it will appear in the real world. So essentially the steps to get from picture one to picture three go like this: I'll admit my modeling skills need work but this has been an on again, off again side project for me. The third picture shows the core that I will use to make a void in the model shown in the first picture. I was able to successfully 'shell' the simplified model. The second picture shows a simplified carrier that I derived from the from the model depicted in the first picture. It is way too complex for the 'shell' command to work as I've tried that. The first picture shows a differential carrier for a static model truck. OK, I finally figured out how to get what I want. Thanks for the prompt reply, especially on the weekend. Please let me know if you can point me in the right direction to help me get some traction. If I use primitives to modle the ID I can't even use interference check to see if I missed anything. Is there anyway to do what I want rather simply? I recall doing some tutorials on this several years ago, but I can't find any examples, white papers, or workflow anywhere. It would really be wonderful if I can just cap the openings and tell inventor to FILL the void and extract the solid as a seperate part. I need to create a ID "mold" to represent the cavity ID as a STEP file to import back into the RF simulation software to evaluate my changes. However, I have to make changes to the shape required by manufacturing processes. I create the model around it in Inventor for manufacturing. This shape is the ID of the cavity I need to model. To give you some background to my project, I basically get the shape in the "Capture" picture from a RF Simulation software in the form of a STEP file. I need to create the negative shape inside the "Capture2" picture, it is too complicated for me to create by using primitives (Extrude, Revolve etc.). Please see attached pictures for details. |
